Saturn Rx, Mercury Rx & the Business of Becoming

This retrograde season is here to help you realign with what actually matters. Saturn is testing your structure, Mercury is tuning your voice, and your nervous system is calling for a different kind of leadership. This isn’t a breakdown. It’s a breakthrough, built from the inside out.

Saturn Rx, Mercury Rx & the Business of Becoming

Take a deep breath. If this week has felt like a lot, you’re not imagining it and you’re definitely not alone.

Between Saturn shifting directions and Mercury slowing to a standstill, the energy is thick with recalibration. I wrote this for the part of you that’s been trying to hold it all together, even as your inner world is asking for something different.

🌀 The Frequency Shift: From Pressure to Alignment

Lately, it’s felt like the universe turned the volume up on everything at once. Right after the Capricorn Full Moon brought things into focus, the energy pivoted. Not gently, either. More like when the tide turns mid-step and suddenly you’re walking through water that’s rushing both toward and away from you.

I’ve been feeling it—and hearing it—from everyone I work with: the pressure to make a decision, to figure out “the plan,” to hold space for more than you actually have capacity for. It’s like every part of life is knocking at the same time, asking to be handled.

This isn’t about falling behind or getting it wrong. It’s about your system reaching its natural limit—and that limit is sacred. It’s the wisdom of your body calling out what no longer fits.

As Saturn begins its retrograde from Aries, moving back into Pisces in September, and Mercury prepares to station retrograde in Leo, we’re entering a recalibration zone. This isn’t slowdown energy. It’s reshaping energy. Like pulling back a bowstring to realign before release.

So in this week’s newsletter, we’re going there:

  • What capacity actually means in business and why it should shape your strategy
  • What these retrogrades are here to help you rework
  • And how to use them to rebuild in a way that holds you, not just your goals

Let’s get into it.

🧠 Planning With Capacity, Not Just a Calendar

Lately, it’s felt like every tab is open mentally, emotionally and energetically. The to-dos are louder. The decisions feel heavier. Even the fun stuff might feel like too much.

I’ve had so many conversations this week that come back to one core question: What is my actual capacity right now? Not what’s on the calendar. Not what I promised. Not what my “optimized” routine says I should be able to pull off.
What can I actually hold?

This came up during my Petite Retreat: Systems Setup in such a real, embodied way. Both clients happened to be a Manifestor and a Projector—the two Human Design types most likely to override their body’s cues in pursuit of momentum or proving. We zoomed all the way out and mapped their entire customer journey through the lens of capacity and nervous system support, looking at what stage of the journey requires what type of energy, and how to plan around their actual nervous system bandwidth, not just the metrics.

Here’s the truth: If your business plan doesn’t account for your energy type, your season of life, and your real-world limitations, it’s just pressure dressed up as productivity.

Capacity isn’t about doing less. It’s about designing better containers for your energy, your creativity, and your clients. And when you get that right? Everything flows easier.

This season is asking you to pause and re-evaluate:

  • Where are you leaking energy trying to keep up?
  • What could be simplified, automated, or eliminated entirely?
  • What wants to be rebuilt to serve you just as much as your clients?

♄ Saturn Retrograde: The Identity Audit

Saturn stationed retrograde in Aries on July 12th and now it’s inching back into Pisces, where it will be starting in September. It won't be direct again until November 27th.

If you’ve felt like your sense of direction has been under construction, like the foundations you just built are suddenly being re-questioned, you're right on time. Saturn retrograde is a cosmic audit. And in Aries, it’s been inspecting your leadership, your independence, and your relationship to forward motion.

Now, as it moves back into Pisces, it’s shifting focus. This is less “build the empire” and more “check your soul contract.”

It’s a return to the why behind everything you're building.

This isn’t about discipline in the traditional sense. It’s about spiritual scaffolding. The invisible support beams that hold your business together: boundaries, belief systems, internal stability.

You might feel:

  • Tired of pushing forward without clarity
  • Pulled to clean up old patterns or projects that never truly closed
  • Sensitive, intuitive, emotionally foggy but also aware that something big is shifting underneath

Saturn in Pisces invites you to listen to the cues beneath the surface. The hunches. The dreams. The quiet inner knowing that says, you’re meant to lead differently this time.

In business, this is a chance to:

  • Rework the backend structure so it actually feels supportive
  • Revisit spiritual or intuitive tools that used to ground you
  • Reconnect with the soul of your work not just the systems around it
You’re not being asked to slow down as punishment.
You’re being asked to remember who you are before you build what’s next.

☿ Mercury Retrograde in Leo: Confidence Under Construction

Mercury stations retrograde this week and it’s doing so in Leo, the sign of self-expression, visibility, and personal power. If Saturn is the soul audit, Mercury is the mic check.

This retrograde doesn’t just bring back old ideas or half-finished drafts. It reopens the conversation around how you lead, how you’re seen, and what it actually feels like to take up space in your business.

You might feel:

  • Weirdly off in your communication, saying too much or nothing at all
  • Hyper-aware of how you’re being perceived
  • Extra-sensitive to feedback, or second-guessing decisions that felt solid last week
  • Unexpectedly quiet on social, or the urge to burn it all down and start fresh

Leo governs the heart. And when Mercury backtracks here, it’s not just reworking your messaging, it’s reworking the relationship between your voice and your worth.

From a business lens, this is a potent time to:

  • Review your brand voice and refine what feels out of sync
  • Revisit past content, offers, or marketing ideas you abandoned but might still hold gold
  • Reconsider how you're using your platform. Are you leading from power or performance?

And maybe most importantly, realign your confidence with truth and not external validations.

Retrogrades aren’t regressions.
They’re renovations.

This is your chance to make sure what you're saying (and selling) still feels like it’s coming from the version of you you're becoming and not the one you’ve outgrown.
